These two days consisited of a two day backpacking trip with SAGA tours.

I really wanted to go with Julie to Cairntoul but deep down new my knee wasen't up to it so instead went with the old guys.

Drove down in the morning to just outside of Glenshee and then walked in to our wild campsite. There was an odd number in the group so while everybody else got to share tentage and stoves I had to carry both solo! After setting up camp we went up to bag the two closest munros with ease and some more spectacular views.

We got back and cooked up our evening meals, supplemented with wisky! Went to bed reletively early to get a good night's kip for tomarrow.

Woke to some light snow, did breakfast and then packed a day pack. Once everybody was ready went over to bag the first Munro Tolmount. There were two distinct paces in the group so Dave took the others to the nearer munro and then back to camp while I led Tom, Johnny, Caleb, Kappa and Emma over to a outlying one about 6km away. After bagging our 'Yeti' Munro we doubled back taking in another summit 'Crow Craiglies' before preparing to ascend the final Munro the old guys had done. It was at this point we realised that Emma had no crampons... them being in Joey's bag. The snow-slope was probably do-able without spikes but it was very sustained, about 400-500m vertical height so one slip would of ment a long way down! So being the kind gentle-man I am I lent Emma my crampons and began to kick steps up the slope! We all eventually summited nad had a 'bo moment before ditching the metal and putting a pace down to get back to camp.

Got back to camp everybody buzzing, the rest of the group were already packed to left as we arrived. We left about half an hour after walking out under our own steam again. Back to the bus for soon after 6 and nethy house for 8.

This was the traditional last night of phase 1 so the Ale was flowing freely and the hats came out. Chatted to Dave J for a while about plans for the Alps in the summer and then to Raymondo about life in general. Spent the rest of the evning...and morning proping up the bar and talking to Lcuy and Chris before eventually going to bed.
