Last Sunday went to the cinema before drinks to catch 'Charlie Wilson's War'... was planning on watching 'I am Legend' but read a few reviews that didn't rate it. Decided the above would be a good choice as Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts are rarely in bad films. Watch pretty political but had a element of comedy in it as well. I imagine if you compared it to reality you could critically pick it apart telling the truth from the fiction and it does portray the USA is quite a good light which many people these days don't like, if you go in there prejudiced against America you'll probably not like it. Personally though, if you take it for what it is, a film you'll really enjoy it.

Grabbed a Pizza and then went over to drinks in Ormskirk with Carrington, several people there, had a good chat with Emma, Chris and Martin as to where Network seems to be going etc. Back home and into bed.

The week was full of maths revison for the Core 3 exam on thursday, spent all of wednesday in a 'Intensive Revison Program'... until we went to the pub for lunch, gorged ourselves of food and beer and decided that we'd give differeniation after lunch a miss. Got in to the last session on functions but most of us had trouble staying awake!

Exam on thursday went pretty well, one or two tough questions but on the most part it was as expected. That evening was Yeti, we went up to the Lakeside Bowling alley in Preston. Managed to get a strike even with my knee! Stopped off at Rio's Chicken Shack on the way home to spend the communial change of meat and then devoured it back at the hut.

Friday was my oppointment with the doctor re my knee. Left college in the morning and went for a meal with the folks befoer going to the hospital. Extrememly good news! Apparentely I've been very lucky, its ligament damage to the cruchiate ligament however for the combined reasons of me be being physically quite fit and my youth the ligament it quite strong, so in a most people the ligament would of been severed by the accident but instead I've just stretched it, ripping a few of the fibres inside. Apparentely its healing really well, probably due to me sitting on my arse all Christmas, but thats a good thing. I'm slowely getting back to normal life, I can do most things I could do before, just need to stop if it ever gives me any pain. And no Climbing or Skiing for a few weeks. In general really good news, I was hoping not to have to have the operation so its all good.

Now have a folder of 8 A3 MRI scan images....yay!

Went out to the Burns Night Ceildh at teh civic hall last night, one fo the Chairman's charity fundraiser events. Spent the first half of the evening playing the part of a waiter serving haggis to various digniteries before going into dancing mode for the Ceildh. Quite a few young explorers ther, myself, Graham, Steph, Liz, Katie x2.... Hugh and Jo were there as paying guests! Both got very involved in the Ceildh! Thing finished up soon after midnight, got back to burscough before 1 and crashed there.

Now, need to seriously bury my head in a Physics text book as my exam in on monday!
